Alexa and Shaine were married at Sky Ranch Lodge, one of the most stunning venues in Sedona. When she saw his cowboy boots, lifted Ram truck, dimples, and blue eyes…she was a goner. Her words, not mine.

Sky Ranch Lodge is one of my favorite venues. It’s exhilarating to be up on the hill, right in the center of Sedona, overlooking the city and the red rocks. Brittany and Mike were married with their closest family and friends on a beautiful, sunny day. They started off with a private vow exchange in the gardens. I love this option for couples who want to write their own vows, but don’t really want to share them in front of everyone. There are many reason to do this- some don’t want to sob in front of everyone, others feel they are too personal for everyone to hear, and some are scared of public speaking. Do whatever you want on your wedding day!!
The private vow exchange was then followed by a beautiful ceremony, sunset portrait session at the vortex (Sky Ranch shuttles us there, which is so conventient), and then a killer dance party. Congrats Brittany and Mike! Film above, preview below.
If you scroll down, you will see Raquel and Jarrod’s Grand Canyon elopement. Two weeks later, they went to Sedona and celebrated with family and friends (and kitty!) at Sky Ranch Lodge. I love that this couple wanted both the elopement and big wedding experience, and they made it happen! Their celebration was made complete with a mosh pit (Raquel’s idea, and a first for me to see at a wedding. I also loved the opportunity to really get to know Raquel and Jarrod, as they just radiant joy and kindness. Full film above, preview below.
Sarah and Kyle are living life to the fullest. They have lived in Hawaii together, are now in Florida, and seek for meaningful experiences above all else. They were married at Sky Ranch Lodge. After the ceremony, we headed to Airport Vortex for sunset portraits. On the way back, the traffic back up to Mesa Grill was terrible. At first we stressed, but then we embraced the chill time together in the Jeep. We lowered the roof and Sarah and Kyle had a blast standing up as we crept along, waving to all the cheering tourists. It was kind of like a mini parade. Sarah later told me that was one of her favorite parts of the day.
The reception was held at Mesa Grill. It was my first time filming there, and the views and vibe were fabulous. The weather was perfect, the dance floor large, the lighting great. Sedona has so many great venues- it’s kind of incredible! Congratulations Sarah and Kyle! Full film above, preview below.
Jocelyn was a total boss babe. She planned her entire wedding to the last detail, and it was gorgeous. She kept everything on track the day of and wasn’t even stressed as she delegated down to the wire. Super bride, for sure.
I left this wedding so grateful to have witnessed this intimate, joyful wedding, and to have met Jocelyn and Gerson, their families and friends. It is such a privilege to be able to meet couples like Jocelyn and Gerson, and then capture one of the best moments in their lives. I am so blessed that over and over, I am reminded that love is real, people are good and there is joy all around us. Full film above, preview below.
I loved this wedding. It helped me remember the joy of big weddings. There were a full 50 people there. Definitely the biggest wedding I’ve filmed since March. I must say, I have missed the dance parties.
Melissa was such a beautiful bride. That dress fit like it was made just for her. Melissa’s parents live in Sedona, and Melissa knew all about the fun Sedona things she wanted to include in her wedding. She and her bridesmaids rode the trolley over to Tlaquepaque to meet Sean and the guys for their first look. When he saw her, I remember him saying “hot wife!” Dang straigh. Tlaquepaque is such a fun place to film. I love that stone tunnel. The tricky part is dodging the tourists with my lens. You can’t remove them from footage like you can from photo. After filming the bridal party and grabbing some romantic shots, we headed over to Sky Ranch Lodge for the ceremony. Melissa’s sister was the officiant, and she did a fabulous job. Their vows were absolutely gorgeous and tender. For sunset, we headed to a beautiful red rock location, and then headed back to the venue for dancing and speeches. Doesn’t get better than that! Erin and Taylor traveled from Wisconsin to get married in the red rocks of Sedona. They met one evening in a bar, and then the next morning, she asked him to help her move into a new apartment, where he also met her dad. The rest is history. Erin and Taylor were married at Sky Ranch Lodge. Since moving to AZ, I’ve loved checking out the numerous wedding venues of Sedona. Sky Ranch Lodge was perfect for this couple. Their ceremony spot is gorgeous, because it is high above the city with stunning cliff views and twinkling city lights at night. Also Erin and Taylor and their guests could stay at the venue, making it convenient and homey.
When Erin and I spoke on the phone for the first time, she emphasized repeatedly that all of her guests were extremely important to her. She did not want a wedding film with just the couple, but wanted to make sure her guests were in the film. She also did not want a highlight film, but a longer documentary style film (20 minutes), which is below. I loved featuring her sweet family and friends, because as her dad said, this is really what matters in life.
